Overview

MamaStoria respects intellectual property rights and expects all users to do the same. This policy explains your responsibilities as a creator, how to report copyright infringement, and how we handle IP disputes.

1. Creator Responsibilities

Original Content

When you publish content on MamaStoria, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own all rights to the content or have obtained necessary permissions
  • Your content does not infringe on any third-party copyrights, trademarks, or other IP rights
  • You have rights to use any images, music, or other media included in your work
  • Your content complies with all applicable laws and regulations

AI-Generated Content

Content created using MamaStoria's AI tools is subject to additional considerations:

  • AI outputs may not be unique and could resemble existing works
  • You are responsible for reviewing and modifying AI-generated content before publication
  • You cannot claim exclusive copyright over unmodified AI outputs

Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Copy or reproduce copyrighted works without permission
  • Use trademarked names or logos without authorization
  • Create unauthorized fan fiction of copyrighted characters (unless transformative/fair use)
  • Plagiarize other creators' work from MamaStoria or elsewhere
  • Impersonate other creators or brands

2. Copyright Infringement & DMCA Process

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe content on MamaStoria infringes your copyright, please submit a notice containing:

  • Your contact information: Name, email, physical address, phone number
  • Identification of copyrighted work: Description or URL of original work
  • Identification of infringing material: URL or location on MamaStoria
  • Good faith statement: Declaration that you believe use is unauthorized
  • Accuracy statement: Confirmation that information is accurate
  • Signature: Physical or electronic signature of copyright owner or authorized agent

Note: False or fraudulent claims may result in legal liability.

Our Response Process

Upon receiving a valid notice, we will:

  1. Review the claim within 5-7 business days
  2. Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
  3. Notify the creator of the claim and removal
  4. Allow the creator to file a counter-notice

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notice containing:

  • Your contact information and signature
  • Identification of removed content
  • Statement under penalty of perjury that removal was a mistake
  • Consent to jurisdiction in your location

We will forward your counter-notice to the claimant. If they do not file legal action within 10-14 business days, we may restore the content.

3. Repeat Infringer Policy

MamaStoria maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who repeatedly infringe on intellectual property rights. We track:

  • Number of valid copyright claims against an account
  • Severity and intent of infringement
  • User's response and cooperation

Accounts with multiple substantiated claims may be permanently suspended without refund of credits or pending earnings.

4. Trademark Policy

Using another party's trademark without authorization may constitute infringement. Prohibited uses include:

  • Using brand names or logos in a way that suggests endorsement
  • Creating confusion about the source of your content
  • Impersonating companies or public figures

Fair Use: You may reference trademarks for commentary, criticism, parody, or news reporting under fair use principles.

5. AI-Generated Content & IP Rights

AI-generated content presents unique IP challenges:

Ownership

  • You own content you create using our AI tools, subject to our license terms
  • AI outputs may not be eligible for copyright protection in some jurisdictions
  • Substantial human authorship and modification strengthen IP claims

Non-Exclusivity

AI systems may generate similar outputs for different users. You cannot claim exclusive rights to:

  • Generic AI-generated text or imagery
  • Common story tropes or plot structures
  • Unmodified AI outputs

Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring AI-generated content does not infringe on existing works. Review outputs carefully and modify as needed.

6. MamaStoria's Rights

By publishing on MamaStoria, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Host, display, and distribute your content
  • Process content using AI for platform operations (recommendations, moderation)
  • Create promotional materials featuring your content (with attribution)
  • Modify formatting for technical compatibility

This license is necessary to operate the platform and does not transfer ownership of your content.
